The French artist Aldéhy began his career as a painter in 1975 in the South Pacific (Vanuatu). Returning from the Amazon after spending 5 years in an isolated village in the N'Djouka country from 2013 to 2018, he set up his studio in Soustons in the Landes.

Could it be the struggle between an eroticism pictorial and intertwined post-cubist eroticism that Aldehy wants to represent to here? The cream flesh of the Renaissance attributed to itself the sexuality that the artificial pink Modern Art renders less well.

“Besides Leonardo da Vinci, I am clearly a lover of Baroque Art and a real fan of Caravaggio and Philippe de Champaigne.”

Above all figurative, Aldéhy is an apostle of light who gratifies us with a nod to Philippe de Champaigne. The drawing is well constructed and obviously, nothing is left to chance. The drawing is well constructed and obviously, nothing is left to chance.

Most often Aldehy uses acrylic, but sometimes uses oil and pencil. Singularly, he does not allow himself to be locked into a single model of expression, to be convinced of this it is enough to return to the abstract works of the 80s.
