They say test the waters before diving in. But that’s how I started TERAVARNA.

I jumped straight into the deep end — no MFA, no formal training, just conviction and curiosity.
In fact, for a long time, I assumed the art world was out of my reach, because of geography, connections, and pedigree. My background was in science — a world that rewarded certainty, logic, and reproducible results. Art, on the other hand, seemed to thrive on ambiguity, intuition, and the courage to be misunderstood.
But watching brilliant artists get invisible simply because they lacked the "right" circumstances felt wrong. So I broke the rules.
I was the awkward outsider who didn't apologize for not knowing the language of validated success. Instead, I built rigor the hard way: anatomy, critique, practice, humility. My non-traditional path? It became my unfair advantage. I understood what traditional gatekeepers never could — that talent doesn't need a trial run.
And so, TERAVARNA began with a simple belief: talent deserves to be seen before labels, backgrounds, or credentials.
One radical idea: anonymity levels the playing field. Only your work speaks. And, over 300 artists showed up on our first call.
So if you're standing at the edge of something meaningful, waiting to feel ready, consider this your sign.
