What is TERAVARNA?
I think of TERAVARNA as a global fine art ecosystem designed to bridge raw talent with international visibility. We currently represent artists from 129 countries, with a sophisticated curatorial presence through exhibitions in art capitals like New York, Paris, London, and Los Angeles. We provide creative excellence that translates into tangible growth, like artist grants worth $186,000 and conduct intimate artist interviews worldwide. All in all, it is my way of democratizing the art world through focused, high-impact support for both emerging and established artists.
What was the exact moment you realized the art world needed TERAVARNA?
I wouldn’t say there was one “aha” moment when the realization dawned on me—it was more like watching genuinely talented artists get overlooked simply because they didn’t have the right geography or connections. As an artist myself, this became apparent to me early on. I was convinced that what we needed was a fairer, more accessible bridge between artists and real opportunities.
If art is the language, what story is TERAVARNA trying to tell?
TERAVARNA’s entire mission is built on telling the story of belonging and possibility. We believe that talent isn’t confined to zip codes or those who’re well connected—that an artist in Kolkata, Kyiv, or Kampala deserves an equal chance to be seen with seriousness. We’re building a platform where art can travel across borders. Ultimately, when you strip away the gatekeepers, artists regain visibility and dignity, and art ultimately wins.
When an artist succeeds through TERAVARNA, does it feel like a professional win or a personal one?
Actually, both—and if I’m being honest, the whole distinction between "professional" and "personal" is a bit of bureaucratic fiction. When an artist from a far-flung corner of the globe finally breaks through by virtue of their talent, it’s a revolt against the old machinery. When the business part kicks in: yes, it’s proof that the platform works. But deep inside, I’m always thinking: good—the world just got a little fairer.
What is the one thing every artist finds at TERAVARNA that they can’t find anywhere else?
A fair shot. And we’re aware how a lot of platforms give you “exposure” and then disappear; we stay engaged beyond just curation, through real communication. Artists find a global stage, yes—but also respect and voice, and an institution that listens with patience. In short, if you pick up the phone and make the call, I’ll be on the other end talking to you. Every time.
How has building TERAVARNA changed you as much as it has changed the art world?
For one, it has certainly made me step out of my comfort zone—and hold myself accountable. When you’re shaping a platform that artists trust, what you decide isn’t theoretical anymore; it affects real people—the most creative ones in our society—as they build real careers. It’s also humbled me: every day, I discover that talent shows up in the most unlikely places if you’re willing to look. Through TERAVARNA, my ideals have morphed into my responsibility.
To the dreamer watching us today: What is the first step into the art world?
Stop waiting for permission. Once you have something you’re ready to share, do it in a way you can control—like a simple portfolio—even a clean Instagram grid that feels like you. Don’t chase the elite; chase momentum—apply, learn, repeat. The art world opens up when you treat your dream like a practice, not a wish. And don’t ever let anyone or anything devalue your merit because of your pedigree.
