Sophia Perkins, born and raised in Texas, is a multi-faceted personality and an intuitive painter, self-taught in her way. Sophia's interest in art as a concept began sometime in her childhood, but she has only been painting since roughly late 2021. In terms of her career, Sophia works as an Emergency Medical Technician. Over the years, she has been experimenting with new painting techniques in her leisure time and creating wonders.

The inspiration behind Sophia's artwork lies in color itself. She believes color can communicate different ideas, as well as evoke a range of emotions. Her paintings are a true depiction of what it means to delve deep into color exploration. Only an artist with a keen eye for introspection can seek refuge in the world of colorful canvases like hers. She often chooses the palettes intuitively for her artistic creations. In other words, she carefully selects colors she believes will integrate well. This is her mindful approach to classic teachings in color theory.

“What I love and appreciate the most about abstract artwork specifically is that it is open to interpretation. In my heart of hearts, I deeply believe a painting can be seen in many ways, but that it provides all with the same message: that color is powerful. Color is the very foundation of my artwork. Without it, the viewer would be looking at a blank canvas.”
Sophia’s color frenzy aims to engage her viewers in a spectrum of feelings more than happy ones. With the overwhelming majority of her paintings, she feels enchanted to create a mood and atmosphere of ultimate bliss and refreshment. Sophia also uses a variety of pigments in her artworks - which she believes can instantly add dimension and highlights to virtually any artwork imaginable.
