He originates from the town of Brezovo which is also the birthplace of two iconic Bulgarian artists: Zlatyu Boyadzhiev, who died in 1976 and is known for his portraits and landscapes depicting the village life in the region, as well as and Mincho Katsaroff, an artist celebrated in France but virtually unknown in his home country.

In 2023 Sabbi created a series of paintings to form a collection that he calls, "Contemplation".
All paintings are inspired by photographs of theatrical performers which are Sabbi's own images. With these painting, the Artist wants to convey the power of human expression, dramatism and depth of feeling.

This painting is created from photographs and sketches the artist took at a local craft market in Bulgaria.
The Artist was fascinated by the facial expression of the man. The subject was a stranger who despite his poor background stood very confident and proud wearing his old cowboy hat. The artist saw the deep meaning of the whole scene.
The idea behind the painting is that we live a short life and we must be proud of who we are and be comfortable in our own aura.

Sabcho is an active member of the Harpenden Art Club, and his portraiture won the “Visitors Choice Award for a Painting” at the Harpenden Art Club Annual exhibitions for two consecutive years, 2021/22.

Sabcho makes his debut in the Bulgarian art scene with a themed solo exhibition called "Roots" which he created to commemorate the 120 Anniversary of the Great Bulgarian Painter and his distant relative Zlatyu Boyadzhiev.

Thanksgiving is an original painting created using the Dutch Masters Approach. The painting is an original piece and captures the essence of the autumnal colour palette as well as the harvest. The artist creates the composition in a way that gives a pleasing view for the eye. The details of the painting are exquisite and the realism is evident without taking away the raw feel of the artist's brushstrokes.

“I present a strong selection of Oil Portraits, still life, and Landscape art which was a great success.”
