“Art is the rhythm through which the universe remembers itself.”
Mbeng Pouka is an international artist based in London whose practice spans painting, sculpture, installation, poetry, and design. Over the course of his prolific career, he has created more than seven hundred works that move fluidly between abstraction, surrealism, cubism, portraiture, and environmental art. His creative world is defined by both diversity and philosophical depth, guided by a vision to explore humanity’s role on Earth and the universal rhythms that sustain existence. As a painter, sculptor, and writer, he approaches art as a language of consciousness, one that links the tangible and the cosmic while reflecting the continuity of all life.
The Power of the Iris | Oil
$7,950
26 X 60
This painting explores the eye as the most powerful of the senses, shaping memory, knowledge, and our connection to the universe. It reflects on humanity’s vast yet untapped potential, the many levels of sight from perception to revelation, and the cycles of civilisation through time. A reminder that true vision requires wisdom, guiding us back to harmony with nature and the higher mysteries of existence.
Although his formal education began in accounting and his early professional path was in construction and building maintenance, Pouka’s passion for art was never secondary. From an early age, he viewed creativity as the foundation of his identity and a source of meaning that transcended occupation. Over time, this devotion transformed into a multidisciplinary practice that merges technical experimentation with a search for spiritual truth. Through color, scale, and material, he builds bridges between imagination and inquiry, expressing both human fragility and universal harmony.
Man-Made | Oil
$2,400
35 X 39
"Man-Made" explores humanity’s power to transform the world—our ability to think, build, and innovate beyond any other species. Yet our desires for wealth and power have led to ego, conflict, and environmental destruction. This work reflects on the fragile balance between creation and chaos, urging us to rediscover love, humility, and harmony with nature as the true foundations of civilisation.
A defining quality of Pouka’s work is its monumental scale. His large-format paintings and installations command space and engage the viewer in immersive experiences. These works often span several meters in length and address profound themes such as existence, self-awareness, and cosmic order. His iconic painting I AM, stretching eighteen meters and completed over nine months, illustrates the life cycle of the universe from creation to dissolution. Exhibited at the 2012 London Olympics in the Olympic Village, it brought his vision of transformation and cosmic unity to a global audience, establishing him as an artist of scope and ambition.
“Each creation connects humanity, nature, and the pulse of existence.”
Following this monumental project, Pouka expanded his cosmological vision with works such as Glory of the Universe, a five-by-four-meter oil painting that traverses the phases of a parallel reality moving from the physical to the invisible. The Knowledge of Self interprets the chakra system through symbolic codes, translating metaphysical principles into vibrant visual equations of love and creation. His ten-meter compositions Out of History’s Foundation and History of Humanity continue this exploration of time, memory, and the evolution of consciousness. Across these works, Pouka invites the viewer to contemplate existence as an unfolding continuum where science, spirituality, and art converge.

Travelling Spirit | Oil
$5,900
47 X 39
"Travelling Spirit" depicts the mysterious journey of the spirit leaving the body at night, entering unseen realms to encounter other spirits. In this abstract world, dreams and visions are captured and carried back into waking life. The painting reflects humanity’s search for meaning beyond the physical, suggesting that our true essence is not bound by time or form, but moves freely through infinite dimensions.
"Above Expectations" addresses humanity’s constant pursuit of ambition, wealth, and power, often achieved through exploitation and conflict. Unlike the natural world, where everything grows in balance and time, people often force progress, justifying corruption and destruction. This work questions the cost of false elevation and challenges us to reclaim growth rooted in patience, justice, and the natural rhythm of life’s unfolding purpose.

Alongside these universal themes, Pouka’s art also addresses the urgent realities of our contemporary world. Many of his projects explore humanity’s relationship with nature, examining both environmental degradation and the potential for renewal. Through dynamic compositions and diverse materials, he calls attention to the fragility of ecosystems and the impact of human behavior on the planet. His use of recycled and repurposed materials reflects a commitment to sustainability, underscoring art’s potential as both an aesthetic and ethical practice. In every medium he employs, Pouka transforms awareness into action.
“Through monumental scale, color, and form, I translate the invisible rhythm of the cosmos into visible expression, reminding humanity of its unity with creation itself.”
“Art, for me, is a conversation between humanity and the universe. I do not paint only what I see; I paint what I feel moving through existence. Every color, every texture, every material carries a vibration that speaks of connection. When I work on a large canvas, I am not imposing an image upon space but allowing space to express itself through me. My art is born from the understanding that creation is already complete and that the artist’s task is simply to unveil it. Whether I am painting, sculpting, or transforming recycled materials into new forms, I am guided by the same impulse: to bring awareness to the unity that sustains life. I believe beauty has a purpose far beyond aesthetics; it is a reminder of balance, of coexistence, of responsibility toward one another and the planet. Each work I create is a gesture of gratitude to the forces that give us being. If my art resonates with others, it is because the rhythm that lives within me is the same rhythm that moves through all of us.”
This ecological consciousness extends naturally into his exploration of fashion and wearable art. His project Excess exemplifies his commitment to sustainability through creativity, featuring a gown made from hundreds of recycled buttons paired with an African mask headpiece. The work critiques consumer culture, fast fashion, and overproduction while celebrating cultural heritage and craft. By transforming discarded objects into beauty, Pouka redefines waste as resource and art as a call for balance. Through such projects, he provokes reflection on the urgent need to reimagine consumption and to honor the planet through mindful design.

Depraved Mind | Oil
$3,200
37 X 39
"Depraved Mind" explores how environment, memory, and habit shape thought and identity, reminding us that “as a man thinks, so is he.” The painting reflects on humanity’s inner struggles, where desire and conditioning create both creativity and destruction. It suggests that liberation lies in self-awareness, a return to clarity of mind, and the conscious choice to direct thought toward wisdom and higher evolution.
Beyond his personal practice, Pouka has collaborated with institutions and international organizations that share his belief in art’s transformative power. From 2012 to 2014, he worked with the Science Museum in London on the Information Age exhibition, exploring the intersection of art, technology, and human connection. His participation in global platforms such as the UNESCO World Humanities Conference in Belgium, the International Salon d’Art Contemporain at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, and the BORDERS Festival in Venice attests to his international standing. Through these collaborations, he continues to position art as a universal bridge across disciplines and cultures.

“I paint to reveal the harmony hidden within chaos.”

Feeding Time | Oil
$9,400
59 X 67
"Feeding Time" portrays fish of vibrant colours coexisting in the same waters, eating the same food without division. It reflects on biodiversity, harmony, and the lessons of coexistence in contrast to human conflict and separation. At the same time, it warns of ecological collapse and extinction, reminding us that balance is fragile and the survival of life on earth depends on protecting what sustains us.
Philosophically, Pouka believes that every discovery, whether scientific, technological, or artistic, already exists within the universe awaiting awareness. He views the cosmos as a living rhythm that connects all forms of being, and his art as a means of translating that rhythm into visual form. Through brush, sculpture, and words, he channels the pulse of creation and encourages others to perceive themselves as integral parts of the same universal field. His paintings and installations celebrate harmony amid diversity and the presence of unity within constant transformation.
"Grounded" affirms our unbreakable bond with nature, which no technology or machine can replace. The earth is a living, regenerating force that sustains every form of life, setting boundaries for existence and cycles of renewal. This work honours the wisdom of the earth, contrasting it with humanity’s arrogance and destruction, and calls for a return to respect, gratitude, and harmony with our origins.
