This painting is entirely created from my imagination. It is the result of the magic that is in our world. It is painted in an impressionist style that shows all the emotion that can be felt in contact with nature. It is a tribute to the deep beauty of our planet.
The paintings of Maria Karlosak are a testament to her dogged determination to clarify, to capture a vision informed by her life, and her native land of Hungary, by both the measurable and the abstract.

When by chance the sliding of the superimposed layers of paint generates movements which resemble landscapes, JYB accentuates the "natural phenomenon" character: clouds of trolling, burst of light, downpour, mist which reveals the vast horizons of the mountains. dawn.
At the beginning of Maria's artistic journey, realism combined with abstraction was the direction which prevailed in her style. Later in the eighties, she started to incline more towards textured painting, combining techniques and experimentation still searching for her own unique way of expression.
“My paintings are my true personal confessions where the emphasis is put on the emotional context.”
Experience slowly taught her that it's better to think of possible problems before taking the brush into her hand, not let herself think too much during the painting process, but trust her intuition instead. She got into art at an early age and has been pursuing it ever since.

Maria Karlosak loves to paint Abstract. When she is painting, she doesn’t plan what she is going to put on canvas. She let her feelings and imagination drive her brush or palette knife. The best advice she has ever received is to create and not be afraid to try new techniques. Don't give up searching for your own unique way of expression even if you get stuck, the best way to get past a block is to just paint, don't overthink it!
“I paint various different kinds of subjects but the landscape is always my favorite.”
“Since I started painting in oils, I have explored the mysterious terrain between what can be measured by physical senses and what can be perceived only by emotions.”
Maria Karlosak is a juried member of the Arizona Artist Guild. She is a visual Artist. She combines figures, realism, and the abstract with an intense, everything-all-at-once style. When sweltering is summer's day of bliss,
So hot the desert's kiss from sun above.
And sweat that drops cause me to reminisce -
the past, a summer's day a child would love.
