Yellow and Black Photography Quote (1).p

“Through my art, I explore the energy that I sense from the life within and around me.”

I am a self-taught contemporary artist from the DC metro area. I have been painting for more than 20 years. I work with vibrant colors and unique textures to produce one-of-a-kind artworks. One of my defining principles is the expression of a multitude of emotions through color and form.

Roses | Acrylic

$3,456

36 X 48

Inspired by the roses. My love for flowers is perpetual; I can never stop admiring the beauty of florals. So, as Frida Kahlo once said, 'I paint flowers so they will not die'.
Floral abstract collection

I predominantly produce abstract art using acrylics but have worked with other mediums in the past. I mainly follow two themes - abstracts and floral abstracts (my two major collections).

Just go with the flow | Acrylic

$2,200

48 X 36

I had nothing planned when I started working on this piece. I looked at my paints and randomly picked out one; I went in with my big palette knife and just enjoyed the process of coloring my canvas - one long, wide stripe. Next, I picked out a color that would go with the previous one and kept working repeating this very satisfying process. By the end of it, it dawned on me, that life is so much easier if we can just go with the flow sometimes without imposing restrictions or constraints on ours

My floral abstracts are what some floral scenes mean to me whereas my abstracts are my expression of different emotions. Frida Kahlo once said, “I paint flowers so they will not die.” I have painted realistic flowers in the past using watercolors available through my website at www.manjuattili.com.

“Painting is my meditation and color gives me joy.”

Through my abstracts, I seek to take my audience into a world of color and form that gives way to feel the essence behind every painting - transporting the viewers to a calm and serene place or take them through the intense emotions behind the artwork.

It's a wonderful world! | Acrylic

$2,200

36 X 48

A celebration of life, this artwork is a colorful floral abstract filled with hope and joy. Floral abstract collection

Petite Florals | Acrylic

$400

20 X 20

In the recent times I have become more interested in creating art out of what a scene means to me rather than recreating it – for example my abstract florals collection; this allows me to write my story onto the canvas through my art.

“I embrace and absorb all my life’s experiences and derive the greatest pleasure in expressing them onto my canvas in countless colors, patterns, textures, and stories.”

“I like to complement colors to create drama and sometimes add metallics in the background to emphasize textures.”

I experiment with a variety of tools including palette knives, my hands, and many other self-made instruments. Overall, I am a big fan of color and texture and want to uplift my audience with my bright and happy themes.

The Temple | Acrylic

$2,200

40 X 16

Abstract triptych artwork inspired by the baroque temple architectures. I wanted to create a dramatic piece depicting remnants of the walls from ornate ancient structures with golds shining through the darker tones of black and at the same time bright reds and cerulean blues wrapping around to enliven the domain.

I derive a sense of achievement and pleasure when I can inspire people with my work. My work seeks to generate a blissful state of mind through many colors and patterns.

Live, laugh, love | Acrylic

$1,500

36 X 36

A floral abstract bursting with life; bright florals against a dark background with gold tones remind you to take a break, breathe and appreciate the life around you. Floral abstract collection

I seek to deliver this feeling of delight and contentment to my audience through my artworks; I want them to see and feel what I sense when I create. On the personal front, I am a woman, wife, mother, scientist, educator, and an artist.

Bright yellow florals transport you into the refreshing sunny landscapes filled with laughter and joy! Floral abstract collection

A summer in the meadows | Acrylic

$2,200

36 X 48

“My love for flowers is perpetual, I can never stop admiring the beauty of florals.”

At the beach | Acrylic

$2,200

48 X 36

Inspired by my love for the sea, the frothy waves at the beach, the serene blues, the beach boards, sunrises, sunsets and more ...

What started as a hobby in a little girl many years ago has grown to become a passion so deep that creating has become an essential part of my life and sharing my creations with the world brings utmost fulfilment to life.

Moonlight | Acrylic

$2,200

60 X 48

Here is the list of my recent events/accomplishments: 2022, American Art Awards, Winner in the Abstract category for 'Roses,' 2022 - 20th Annual Alexandria Old Town Fine Art Festival, VA, 2022 - 3rd Annual Chevy Chase Fine Art Festival, VA, 2022, Trunk Show & Bazaar, International Country Club, VA, and 2008 League of the Reston Artists Annual Show, VA.

To n from the heart | Acrylic

$3,200

60 X 48

Inspired by the story of the heart - the heart which sometimes takes over the mind, the heart which we give away to our beloved, the heart which endures pain, the heart which sometimes breaks, the heart which relentlessly functions to circulate blood keeping us alive through it all. The painting depicts the complexity of feelings the heart can feel with bright colors of bliss, love, glimmers of hope to colors of darkness and despair. The red and turquoise beautifully flow next to each other like

“My abstracts send out messages about themes like inclusion, humanity, peace, celebration, tranquility, and more.”
