Kelly Jean Gillow

USA

Yellow and Black Photography Quote (1).p

“It's neat how a blank canvas is just that- until someone comes along and paints life on it.”

As a child, Kelly Jean always loved to create. She is happy and grateful today to be so closely connected with her inner child and to have an internal passion for art and creation. She absolutely loves creation and to create! Kelly Jean believes that every person enters life already prepackaged with gifts, talents, passions, and purpose. It is every individual's job to unwrap the gifts that they have within themselves, as they move throughout their journey. The act of becoming is constant; human beings are always becoming more like the person they were always intended to be.

Becoming 01 | Acrylic

$5,000

24 X 18

This Gravitational work by Kelly Jean Gillow is about Becoming. Becoming the new you, the next level you- the you that you are meant to be. To gravitate towards your inner essence of who you are becoming is a process full of a kaleidoscope of feelings and emotions as one must reveal the many colorful layers of self. But once the layers are revealed, it continues a cycle of uncovering more & more beautiful new colors of ones' true essence. A Life Journey of Continual Becoming.

Gillow resides in the United States in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. She lives there on her farm with her husband Jon and their 3 lab pups and a cat along with all of their chickens, ducks, roosters, and geese.

Giraffe | Acrylic

$10,000

Go Wild Series is a very special collection of works passionately created to support wildlife on a global scale. Half realistic, half illustrative, each composition with its own unique expression and beauty. Kelly Jean Gillow's passion for animals, nature and science fills every brushstroke with love. Half of all personal earnings of each work sold will be directly donated to WWF World Wildlife Fund.

Kelly's artwork is a collaboration of inspirations through her very own looking glass, influenced mainly by her natural environment and all the things she loves most. Those inspirations are mixed with a whirlwind of imaginative thoughts. Kelly thinks up stories on these subjects and then her artwork is produced.

“ I love paintbrushes, the smell of freshly sharpened pencils and crayons, and bright colorful art supplies.”

The artist gets excited when she sees a blank canvas or paper. In most of her work, she enjoys experimenting with different mixed mediums and a range of tools. She loves experimenting with colors, just for the sheer joy of creating different hues out of her color palette. Her collection of digital paint tools has become some of her favorite tools to work with and has opened up an entirely new creative world for her.

Go with the Flow Sailboats | Acrylic

$3,200

16 X 40

There is something so tranquil about just watching sailboats floating on the water at dock, gracefully bobbing up and down. With a gentle sway of the brush, wavy brushstrokes take the stage on the canvas like waves. A captivated calmness of the sailboats that I so enjoy when I visit some of my favorite places on the Cape. Brightly colored boats come to life with their white sails drawn down. All is gentle. All is calm. All is resting as are these sailboats.

Vintage floral is a series of work depicting bouquets and arrangements of various colors, textures and floral varieties from days of old. Beautiful Teals and pinks with warm splashed of reds, and yellows awake the soul for a splendid morning greeting.

Good Morning | Acrylic

$5,900

24 X 24

For most of her artwork, Kelly loves mixing colors and creating a patchwork of new colors and textures. She loves feeling like a kid herself and she plays with childlike subject matter at times in most of her work, she loves to use bright, beautiful, and bold colors.

“My passion for art and my love for illustrating and writing for children resonates with my inner feeling of still being a kid myself!”

“I love subjects such as the wonders of the oceans deep and the undiscovered creatures inhabiting it, mysteries of our outer universe and space, unusual & exotic animals that exist, the beauty in all of life, fireflies blinking in the dark, and things that sparkle, swim and fly.”

The artist thinks up fun-childlike thoughts on her subjects like, 'What story would an old vintage green bottle tell you?' or 'What if bugs were not tiny and whales were not big?' The splendid mysteries of human thought and perception fascinate her. In most of her works, not all but most, she first thinks about her subject and then she creatively imagines the different ways one would perceive the subject, and the different viewpoints one may take on a subject. She then asks herself, how she can create this subject differently than one would typically perceive it. How can she create a fun, colorful new viewpoint on a subject to stimulate the inner child that resides within everyone?

Kelly Jean does not limit herself necessarily to a specific subject matter or medium. She loves variety and there is so much to experiment with just like an artistic scientist! In her gravitational work, she utilizes bright, bold colors and surrenders the work to the gravitational pull of our beautiful planet, mixed with perfect oscillation timing, and then lets the natural infusion of her thoughts and feelings about the piece flow.
