WARM | Watercolor

In WARM, Jaden W. Park captures the quiet expanse of a golden field under a vast, clouded sky. The fluidity of watercolor lends a soft, atmospheric quality to the landscape, where warm tones of yellow and ochre contrast with the cool, muted blues above. A weathered fence in the foreground guides the viewer’s gaze into the open horizon, suggesting both boundary and passage.
Rooted in the foundations of Impressionism, Park prioritizes the evocation of inner psychological states over literal depiction. His work places emphasis on personal emotion and individual perception rather than external appearances. From this base, his practice has expanded toward imagery that balances between conceptual suggestion and abstraction. His blurred, atmospheric compositions push representation to its limits, inviting viewers into an open field of interpretation where form hovers at the threshold of recognition.
"I trust instinct more than rules when I approach painting."
This stylistic evolution underscores Park’s ability to express identity and sensibility in a poetic manner. His canvases are infused with a delicate interplay of color and emotion, creating atmospheres that are both sensuous and subtle. The ongoing refinement of his style reflects his personal journey as an artist who continues to evolve, adapting materials and methods to meet the demands of his themes. Watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastels, and pen drawing all find their place in his mixed-media practice, underscoring his flexibility and experimental nature.

LIVE AUTUMN | Watercolor

This watercolor painting captures the vivid essence of autumn, where nature’s colors come alive in their most radiant form. A cluster of trees, their leaves shifting from green to brilliant shades of orange and gold, stand reflected in the calm waters below. The presence of rocks and subtle textures of the landscape add grounding stability to the scene, contrasting with the fleeting brilliance of seasonal change.

Soft transitions of yellow, green, purple, and crimson create an impression of blooming vitality, while splashes of white add a sense of movement and spontaneity. Born in South Korea, Park briefly enrolled at Korea University in the physics department before deciding to pursue art full-time. Without the structure of formal education, he developed his own voice through independent practice, demonstrating the possibilities of a self-directed path. His journey into art was further accelerated after the global pandemic, during which he devoted himself entirely to painting. In only a few years, he has created more than 15,000 works, a staggering number that reflects his discipline and passion.
"I began without instruction, but persistence taught me everything. Painting is not a profession for me, it is the rhythm of how I exist each day."
"Art became my path when I realized creating and living were inseparable. Without formal instruction, I relied on persistence and instinct to shape my practice. Over time, thousands of works emerged, each holding a trace of memory or emotion. My images lean into both clarity and obscurity, reflecting how experience often resists definition. For me, painting is a matter of honesty, not categories. Intuition guides me more than technique, because it carries the weight of lived experience. Each canvas records a unique encounter with the world. I believe art should leave room for the viewer to enter freely, to find their own story within it. My aim is not to conclude but to invite, opening a space where emotion, memory, and imagination meet."
Despite the relatively short span of his artistic career, Park has already exhibited internationally. His works have been presented in South Korea, the United States, Hong Kong, and France. Notable exhibitions include IMPRESSIONISM AITHER (2023), IMAGINATION at MEUM (2023), FREESTYLE at HMVC Gallery, New York (2023), and Indistinct Chatter at LAAA (2024), among many others. His art has been displayed not only in traditional gallery contexts but also on digital platforms, such as an extensive VR exhibition and the Times Square Jumbotron LED display in 2023. This wide-ranging exhibition history highlights his versatility and his willingness to embrace both physical and virtual modes of presentation.

It is a work that creates an illusion that looks grand and delicate when viewed from a distance using dots and lines, and it is a work that has been carefully painted one by one
At the heart of Park’s creative practice is his reinterpretation of Post-Impressionism for contemporary times. Where Impressionism sought to capture fleeting light and color, Post-Impressionism pursued emotional and philosophical depth. Park draws from this tradition by incorporating the structural clarity of Cézanne, the emotional intensity of Van Gogh, and the symbolic richness of Gauguin, while reimagining these principles through a modern, cross-cultural lens. His work merges classical sensibilities with contemporary innovation, creating pieces that resonate across cultural and temporal boundaries.

SpringStart | Acrylic
$1,200
40 X 30
The phenomenon of spring coming after winter is expressed in gold, indicating that it becomes brighter, and the petals that signal spring announce the warmth of spring.
A defining feature of his paintings is the interplay between dreamlike atmospheres and carefully rendered details. Backgrounds often dissolve into soft, ethereal environments, while objects or figures emerge with clarity and intensity. This juxtaposition pulls the viewer into a liminal space, allowing something as simple as a flower to radiate meaning against mist-like surroundings. The effect is simultaneously intimate and expansive, offering viewers a deeply personal yet universally accessible experience.
Yellow flowers stuck in white glass vases convey a lively and warm atmosphere. Each petal is delicately expressed, with different yellows blooming in harmony. The background is deep black, reminiscent of space or deep night, and the white dots scattered to the right look like stars or pollen. This effect creates a fantastic atmosphere, as if the vitality of the flower spreads to the surrounding space.
There are several petals on the floor, which seem to metaphorically capture the passage of time
