Sertão | Acrylic

The painting "Sertão" represents the arid backlands of Brazil, with a worn cement background and earthy tones reminiscent of the dry soil and fences. The pink tone in the cracks of the earth symbolizes hope, but the dripping drop in the corner reminds us of the suffering of backlanders. The work invites us to value and preserve the culture and history of this region, and to reflect on the difficulties and beauty of life in the backlands.
In recent years, Felipe has created numerous artworks that reflect his deepest and unconscious feelings. He has translated these emotions into tangible expressions allowing viewers to experience the same emotions and thoughts that inspired him.
Lost Mosaic | Mixed Media
$850
19 X 31
"Lost Mosaic" is a work that invites us to reflect on the fragility of the structures we build in our lives. The combination of hexagonal ceramics, blood stains, and blue splatters remind us of a puzzle that cannot be fully assembled. The predominant tones of blue and gray suggest a feeling of loss and disorientation. Despite the sense of chaos, the texturing of the work makes us think that perhaps there is a hidden beauty in imperfection and disorder.
For Felipe, creating art is a necessary tool that provides the resilience he needs to face and understand challenging times. One of Felipe's most striking works is the "INconcreto" collection, inspired by architectural prospects. The collection is a universe of sensations where plots arise layer by layer, with various materials and techniques used in a concreting process.
“The result is a set of firm and singular works of art that contain striking features and provide strength and resistance throughout their idealization.”
The "INconcreto" collection consists of atemporal canvases that allow the exercise of imagination, intending to extract the true abstract feeling behind the solid colors and firm brushstrokes. Felipe's works invite viewers to explore the complexity and intricacy of the spaces we interact with on a daily basis, providing them with a unique and powerful artistic experience.

Orange Beauty | Acrylic
$800
31 X 19
"Orange Beauty" is an abstract artwork that showcases simplicity through contrasting colors and textures. The orange center evokes vitality while the lighter rough surface symbolizes the journey of life. The dark background represents challenges and the turquoise cracks offer hope. It encourages finding beauty in simplicity, seeking light in darkness, and celebrating life in all its colors and textures.
"Urban Mirage" is a unique creation from my INconcreto collection, which seeks to translate the ephemeral nature of urban forms into something concrete. Using materials such as bitumen and cement, I combined them into a mortar that serves as the foundation of the work. Its carefully applied acrylic texture conveys the sensation of walls aged by time, while its colors evoke the chaotic and vibrant pulsation of the city.

Felipe Sardenberg's background as a university professor and Ph.D. student in Architecture and Urbanism further informs his artistic expression. Felipe encourages viewers to exercise their imagination and extract the true abstract feeling behind the solid colors and firm brushstrokes, creating a powerful and meaningful artistic experience that connects with our emotions and feelings.
“My artistic expression is rooted in my personal experiences and the world around me”.
”My works reflect his passion for the built environment and my desire to explore its complexity through various mediums.”
He is a multi-talented artist who is able to translate his emotions into tangible expressions, allowing viewers to experience the same emotions and thoughts that inspired him. Through his works of art, Felipe explores the beauty and complexity of the built environment, providing viewers with a unique perspective on the spaces we inhabit.

星雲 Seiun | Mixed Media
$1,200
31 X 23
"星雲 Seiun" is a tribute to the beauty of the universe and our relationship with the infinite. Using small hexagonal ceramics, sisal threads, and blue and golden plaster, the work conveys the sensation of being in front of a galaxy in formation. "星雲 Seiun" invites us to contemplation, inspiring us to look inside ourselves for answers to the existential questions that have accompanied us since the beginning of time.
One of the most notable aspects of Felipe's work is his ability to use various materials and techniques to create firm and singular works. His works reflect his resilience in the face of adversity, providing him with the necessary strength to face and understand life's challenges.

Nippon! | Mixed Media
$1,200
31 X 70
Amazingly, this artwork was inspired by a Japanese incense box called Shin Mainichikoh. Its red body with black and gold details sparked the idea for me to create this piece. The work "Nippon" was painted with acrylic on canvas and detailed with tree bark, bitumen, and coated with epoxy resin. It is an abstraction of the Japanese sunset, with rocks, wind, water source, and so on.
Abstract art allows the artist to express their emotions and ideas in a free manner, without the need to represent recognizable objects or figures. In this artistic vein, shapes, colors, textures, and compositions are the main elements that compose the artwork. Each detail is thought out and strategically placed to create harmony between them.
"Hidden Horizon" evokes a sense of mystery and depth. The turquoise color invites us to dive into deep waters where the horizon dissolves into a mysterious mist. The white rectangular area makes us question what lies beyond the window. The work challenges us to reflect on our own perception of reality and shows us that the boundaries between real and imaginary can be challenged.
Hidden Horizon | Acrylic
$750
36 X 35
“For me, creating any art collection was a necessary tool that provided the indispensable resilience I needed to face and understand these adverse times.”

Trilha Rosé | Acrylic
$780
15 X 37
"Trilha Rosé" evokes the feeling of a path that extends beyond the horizon, leading the viewer on a journey of discovery and reflection. The use of the rose tone as a trace creates an atmosphere of delicacy and mystery, while the relief and texture invite a tactile and sensory experience. The work was made on a wooden panel that was, in turn, a kitchen cabinet door.
When contemplating an abstract piece, the viewer is challenged to step out of their comfort zone and dive into a universe of possibilities. Each person's interpretation may differ, making the experience unique and personal.
"Pink Rising" is a piece that invites us to delve into darkness and find light. The dense and dark texture of the base leads us to feel the depth of the unknown, but the vibrant pink that emerges as an arm or human figure gives us a sense of hope. Like a sunrise, the work shows us that beauty can emerge even from the darkest situations. It is a reminder that we should always keep our vision towards the light, even in moments of uncertainty and darkness.

In conclusion, Felipe Sardenberg is a talented artist whose art reflects his personal experiences and the world around him. His unique perspective as an architect and urban planner allows him to create works that explore the complexity and beauty of the spaces we interact with on a daily basis.

Old Terracota |Acrylic
$1,000
43 X 33
"Old Terracota" is an abstract acrylic painting on canvas that reflects the artist's fascination with the texture and colors of fired clay. The artwork explores the predominance of terracotta color with a vertical strip in a darker tone, revealing a small yellow/golden mark symbolizing the ephemeral nature of life and the constant pursuit of light.
Influenced by the history of ceramics and literature that explores the relationship between matter and spirituality, the artist seeks to convey a sense of depth and meaning in each brushstroke, reflecting their intuitive and experimental approach to abstract painting. "Old Terracota" represents the artist's connection to nature and history, reflecting their view of the world as a vibrant place in constant transformation.
“My works of art are a testament to the power of creativity and the resilience of the human spirit, providing viewers with a unique and powerful artistic experience that connects with our emotions and feelings.”
