Elizabeth is an 18 year old, self taught artist hailing from California and moved to Alabama a few years prior. While she moved throughout her life, her dedication to art remained unwavering. She used the changing setting to inspire and define her art. In juxtaposition to her artistic abilities, she also prioritizes the collective of intelligence and learning, seeking to become a lawyer in due time.

I shall be nothing, the wind, the sky.”
― Osamu Dazai
No Longer Human is a work based on the novel of the same title, written following WWII. and focusing on the self-inflicted dehumanization of the main character. The novel The work mimics post-war "Gutai" protest art, in an effort to portray the effects of war on the psychological state.
The drastic change of scenery after moving at the age of 16, inspired her to create a full selection of pieces based upon the themes of dehumanization. She used them for her portfolio in Ap Studio Class where students were expected to independently create a unique but analogous series of artwork. Scoring 5/5 on her portfolio finalized her decision to pursue her career in art.

“Freely they stood who stood, and fell who fell. ”
― John Milton, Paradise Lost
This work is part of a 4 piece collection that includes a photography reference photo, a cut paper still life, and a digital still life painting in addition to the charcoal. A demonstration of an abstract and relation between hedonism and Desire.
During Covid-19, she found herself abundant with nothing but time and an overbearing desire to create. It was then she discovered her will and nature of creating art using her own methods, instead of the exemplary skills taught to young artists.
“I truly started focusing on art after the start of Covid 19 in the year 2020.”
A connoisseur of classical literature, she seeks to analyze and depict the former state of human beings through pictorial art of her own, with a focus on the darker aspects of humankind. She is inspired by the works of those of the old masters, within still lives and surrealism, putting her own twist on techniques and themes commonly portrayed within these pieces.

Not one to be bound with a certain style, the artist utilizes a wide variety of mediums and subjects throughout her work, constantly varying the approach and thought she puts behind every piece. Fascinated with the relation of color and perspective in relation to human emotions, she elopes to use theories in typically uncharacteristic ways; to create her own visions in art.
“The expressionism and subjectivity of art have never been a concern to me. I always seek to depict that which confuses and forces the human mind to think and interpret.”
“Amateurism means nothing to me; I will create as I want, whether it is the portrayal of a brash and unexplainable armageddon of color and emotion, or a slick abstractism of charcoal representation”
Elizabeth displays her creativity and personality through a miscellaneous collection of hobbies, including her dedication and love for music. She has played the alto saxophone for around 9 years, and recently picked up percussion and hopes to eventually use her musical skills in combination with her depictions of art to create animations of her own variation.

“Love us dirty, for any one will love us clean.”
― Nikolai Gogol, Dead Souls
A portrayal of death similar to that of the medieval times, Dead Souls sought to bring new life to what is viewed as a dated style, mixing cloth and vivid colours with a crowded composition.
She is an extremely detail-oriented person, definitive within the art she creates as well, focusing on the minute, obscured embellishments instead of the general form of the art; letting the details take over the piece, using plain or still background and large objects to contrast with the extreme detail in certain works.

Elizabeth also enjoys the practice of photography and considers it to be another part of her art, using a mix of mediums to create new expressions. While she does appreciate the natural forms of nature in photography, her main subject is that of what she constructs herself, whether it may be a still life or an abstract formation of colors and objects.
A mix in between a study and a completed piece, this work utilizes a simple configuration of perspective and composition, instead using the depiction of facial movement to illustrate conflicting emotions, emphasized by the unclear background

A traditionally done still life, however, seeks to incite conflicted views with the unnatural prospects of the work. The cloth across the top does not flow naturally, rather twisting and turning in odd directions.
Common figures within her art can be attributed to the use of patterns and shapes, harsh and bold colors, odd perspectives and backgrounds, and the occasional dash of absurdism. There is not merely distinct happiness or sadness within her pieces, the works are meant to conflict with interpersonal thoughts and symbols typically relating to certain emotions, instead portraying their opposites.
Photography done in a natural state, yet intended to look altered. A work that plays with lighting and objects, projecting a human perspective on the raw implications of nature.

She chooses to follow her own path in relation to her figure of emotional and intellectual representation and interpretation. There is no matter as to the subject of what she creates; vague interpretations, strict origin, and emotional obscurity may compose in the same piece; yet harbor a distinct meaning apart from each other.
