Yellow and Black Photography Quote (1).p

“I love creating fun, wonky, and whimsical art.”

Alice grew up helping her mom create classroom bulletin boards. Her first drawing was for her mom. She drew Snoopy. Alice often struggled with letting her true self out, being an artist. While she struggled, she earned a B.A. in Sociology from Stanford University.

The Future is a Different Flower | Marker

As a vibrant tulip, the artist quickly turned this flower into a unique plant. The flower shows red, orange, and yellow petals that blend together with such beauty. The petals are enclosed in a green nurturing source which helps this piece provide the viewing wellness and nutrition as well.

Later in life, she went back to school to fine-tune her creative self. She earned an A.S. in Graphic Design and a certificate in Web Design and Interactive Media from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division and The Art Institutes of California, Sacramento.

San Francisco Bay Bridge Pillar Boat | Photoshop

A rare view of the iconic San Francisco Bay Bridge. The artist has taken a snapshot of a moment in time as a boat sits near one of its pillars, spraying the bay’s water back into its mother ocean.

She is well-versed in several artistic tools. She loves creating the base of her artwork with traditional mediums such as graphite pencils, Micron pens, charcoal pencils, gel pens, colored pencils, and watercolors and often ends this process digitally.

“My question is whether or not the original is a great original that will sell as is, but then I remember the advice, digitize it with an app and store the original.”

Her artistic process these days starts with laying the base using the traditional mediums stated above. This process can take up to 3 hours or a few days. Once completed, she evaluates it.

Wonky Parrot | Colored Pencils

This piece of artwork was created using colored pencils. It was one of my zoo photos. I wanted to make it stand out so I made it into digital artwork. It speaks to my current creative passion for using colored pencils.

They are a very different couple who give each other joy. Their joy comes from being beautifully wonky, which means different yet together. Accepting each other with love and happiness.

The digital process can take up to 3 hours maximum. For the digital process, she can use BeCasso or Adobe Creative Cloud apps such as Photoshop Express or Fresco and Procreate. She may touch them up with the Apple photo editor.

“The pandemic allowed me to step away from the non-profit world. Although I am still a remote worker, I now have room to create and be myself. My nouns are artist and girl.”

“In some instances, I may just draw the sketch into the software. If I like it, I will go into a digital process and make the pieces marketable.”

Her mixed media artwork includes using the urban sketching technique. This technique uses pencils, pen and watercolors. She can choose to photograph the original to sell or digitize it.

It's the Joker, too! | Mixed Media

NA

An incredible computer interpretation of a sketch of a well-known spy. The art collaboration turned into two movie villains. Is it a Joker?

She is experimenting with using an artificial intelligence software. This is where she puts artwork. She creates the base artwork from the traditional mediums and then puts the digital photo into the software, chooses a style, and sees what the computer comes up with.

It was a fun and wonderful computer collaboration of a sketch that is an imaginative interpretation of lines. It shows the depth of the collaboration. It fits into most living color themes.

Much like the late singer Prince, she is well-versed in several artistic tools and loves experimenting with them every now and then. It was her curiosity that led her to explore so many mediums all at once.

A vibrant rainbow is the pixels of this urban sketch of an old junkyard truck. What brand is it, is for you to decide during energetic conversations you will have with lovers of ‘ole farm trucks.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry In Black | Mixed Media

It looks so delicious, does it not? This delicious strawberry is showcased in black. Its dramatic pose allows you to feel the elegance of this drawing. It almost appears as if it lying on a glass serving dish.

Irrespective of the software, all her digital processes are done using her iPad Pro 11 and an Apple pencil. In some instances, she may create originals using her iPad Pro and the Procreate app.

Drawn to excite the viewer and lover of cars. The lines are unfinished. The tires are broken to make you like the wonkiness. Is it moving or just falling apart?
