This is an incredible opportunity and an unparalleled international art experience with over 120 galleries, museums, and non-profit arts organizations from around the world exhibiting painting, sculpture, works on paper, installation, photography, design, video, and performance. This show is the largest and longest-running art show in LA, and all works presented by galleries are available for purchase by high-end collectors.

It’s a proud moment for the leading contemporary gallery TERAVARNA to announce its participation in the San Francisco Art Fair 2026 — one of the most interactive, dynamic, and globally acclaimed art fairs in the U.S. West Coast. After TERAVARNA’s electrifying showcases at the LA Art Show, artBIAS III (Budapest), Superfine New York, Seattle Art Fair and a successful showcase at the FOCUS London 2025, the gallery is ready to add another exciting chapter to its physical art show journey while taking part in San Francisco art events in 2026.
The art fair San Francisco is an evolution of the diverse creative voices and the thriving art ecosystem of the Bay Area in California. The year-round platform presents the cultural vibes of the region, experimenting with contemporary expressions. The fair is produced by AMP (Art Market Productions) with Fair Director Kelly Freeman and Artistic Director Nato Thompson working together to promote this fair as a worldwide platform for galleries, community of collectors, and artists participating from around the globe.
To display some of the choicest works by talented artists at the San Francisco art exhibition, TERAVARNA launches its juried art competition, calling aspiring artists to submit their works.
The winning works of the San Francisco Juried Art Competition will be showcased for FREE, offering emerging and professional creators a worldwide stage amidst modern and contemporary creations. The call is OPEN!

Theme
The theme of the San Francisco Art Exhibition is ‘OPEN.’ Artists can submit their creations in any medium and style of their choice. Whether representational, abstract, or surreal concepts, they can work on their own compositions. Please note that you must be 18 years of age to take part in any of our events.
We welcome all kinds of visual arts including, including Painting & Mixed Media, Photography & Digital, Sculpture & 3D Installation, except AI generated creations.
Fees
The competition entry fee for each work is $25 (non-refundable). If selected, the showcase at the art fair San Francisco will be entirely FREE for the participants.

The deadline for submission is January 31, 2026.

At the conclusion of the show, participating artists will have the choice to ship their unsold artworks to them or place them in our secured gallery storage facility for possible shows at future venues.
Awards & Prizes
Artists selected by the jury will be invited for a FREE showcase and will be able to sell their exhibits in San Francisco in the April 2026 fair.
(Please note that only winning artists from our juried open call will be invited for a ‘free display’ and sell their works!)

It is more than a free showcase for artists – a horizon of possibilities to explore in a rich tapestry of art & culture, adding new dimensions to aesthetic curation. Artists can either have their unsold exhibits in San Francisco returned or have them transported to our temperature-controlled secured gallery storage in California for possible inclusion in future shows at other venues.
Things to Note

If you have more than 10 works to submit for the art fair San Francisco, not a problem at all! Fill in your details and resubmit. At TERAVARNA, we encourage multiple submissions as they help the jury to better assess your style and how the works complement a gallery setting. The jury will evaluate the overall body of work, not just individual pieces. We value and cherish long-term relationships with our artists, so returning artists may have an advantage in the selection process.

If you submit your work on materials other than stretched canvas, you will need to frame them for exhibition. Regarding prints, they should be matted, with backing boards, and sealed in clear plastic sleeves. If needed, we can handle the framing and presentation at a decent cost.

Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance of their original works. Once the winners are announced, we’ll share the packing/labeling instructions. There can be size restrictions due to limited wall space.

After the San Francisco art exhibition, artists can either have their unsold works returned to them at their own costs or leave them with us to be transported to our gallery storage in LA, USA. Artists would pay for the cost of transportation though.
P.S: TERAVARNA does not guarantee cash prizes for participants in any of its competitions. Only artists chosen by an independent jury from the pool of applicants will have the opportunity to showcase their work at the San Francisco Art fair 2026.
HOW MANY ARTWORKS ARE YOU SUBMITTING?
Although not required, it is strongly recommended that multiple artworks are submitted in order to provide a clear and cohesive understanding of the artist's portfolio.
