Yellow and Black Photography Quote (1).p

“My art is a testament to my self-taught mastery and innovative spirit.”

Veronica, also known as Ronnie, emerges as a beacon of creativity. Coming from the dynamic artistic hub between Boston, MA, and Providence, RI, she reimagines traditional techniques with a contemporary twist, infusing new life into ancient ways.

Soul-Poles | Resin

“Soul-poles” came to life when I wanted to create another piece that had more details from corner to corner. This design was actually a sketch that I had originally discarded, however, when I came across it again, I realized it was quite captivating. Initially I was envisioning a scene of two frogs falling in love under the northern lights; but these ethereal forms look to be how I imagine souls would appear outside of a body. Staying true to the frog motif, I named this piece "Soul-poles”

Diving into various artistic mediums over the years, Ronnie has embraced the limitless possibilities of creativity. While her journey initially led her through the intricate world of textile arts, her current passion lies in revitalizing old techniques through a modern lens, utilizing wires and resin as her medium of choice.

I wanted to capture the intricate beauty of the tiny titan world, to show that even the smallest of creatures can be the grandest works of art.

Beginning with a vision, Ronnie carefully shapes delicate wires into intricate patterns, forming the foundational framework and bones of her artwork. Layer by layer, she carefully pours resin, selecting each color with precision to bring her design to life.

“Each of my creations is a symphony of intricacy and a labor of love.”

As the resin cures, it captures and refracts light, adding depth, dimension, and vibrancy to the piece. The final step of polishing reveals a glossy finish that enhances the colors and textures, resulting in mesmerizing modern-day cloisonné paintings that embody her artistic vision and unwavering dedication to her craft.

Egg | Resin

There is nothing more to this piece other than my love for eggs.

"The Forager" is a whimsical creation born from my desire to bring another enchanting creature to life. I aimed to capture the essence of curiosity and adventure by using a limited color palette and experimenting with tonal variations to add depth and intrigue.

Ronnie's art transcends mere visual appeal—it is a reflection of her life's journey. Born unilaterally deaf, she has faced and overcome numerous challenges, often feeling isolated and misunderstood. Through her art, Ronnie seeks to bridge the gap between the seen and the unseen, inviting viewers to look beyond the surface and into the depths and soul of each piece

“My modern-day cloisonné paintings are portals into a realm where time flows fluidly, blending ancient and contemporary elements in perfect harmony.”

“Through my meticulous craftsmanship and fearless experimentation, I breathe new life into a centuries-old art form, infusing it with my vibrant and unmistakable signature style.”

Each piece she has crafted, tells a unique story, inviting viewers to approach and explore its narrative. These thought-provoking creations truly come alive when experienced in person—the delicate wires shimmer, the intricate designs reveal their textures, and the interplay of light adds a captivating dimension to each piece.

Monstera | Resin

$

10 X 8

Through vivid colors and striking forms, this piece captures the essence of growth and vitality, offering a fresh perspective on the timeless allure of the monstera. It’s an exploration of nature’s art in its purest, most vibrant form.

Drawing inspiration from the beauty of everyday life, nature, and the depths of her psyche, she crafts pieces that feature hidden imagery, which may appear ordinary at first glance. To truly appreciate her art, the viewer must not only observe each piece but also delve within themselves to uncover its meaning.

Moth | Resin

6 X 6

Inspired by my fascination with moth imagery, I aimed to create a piece that goes beyond a scene, focusing solely on the creature itself. I envisioned using muted tones to evoke the feeling of moonlight glowing through the delicate wings of the moth.

In her creative sanctuary, Ronnie can often be found on the floor or at her coffee table, as she believes that art is a personal, everyday experience. Her art is not solely about the final piece but also about the process and the environment in which it is created, embodying her unique perspective and artistic journey.

I'm deeply fascinated by cryptozoology, and my passion inspired me to bring my own mythical creature to life in the form of "Mousebat." This piece offers a whimsical interpretation of the concept, blending intrigue with adorable charm.

“My artworks are not just objects of admiration; they are meant to be experienced intimately”

Flora | Resin

Nature serves as a prominent theme in my art, and with "Flora," I aimed to highlight the exquisite beauty of a flower in its simplest form. This was the first time I broke from my digital sketching process and embraced a more organic approach, sketching directly onto the canvas.

Through her work, Ronnie aims not only to showcase her artistic mind but also to inspire others to appreciate the fusion of tradition and innovation in art. Her art is a celebration of creativity, inviting others to explore the beauty of tradition through a contemporary lens.

I aimed to experiment further with the graceful silhouette of a lunar moth, incorporating brighter tones to enhance its vibrant presence.

Ronnie stands as a testament to the transformative power of art, her creations serving as a bridge between the past and the present, the seen and the unseen. As she continues to push the boundaries of her craft, her art invites us all to explore the endless possibilities of artistic expression and to embark on our own journeys of creative discovery.

I'm captivated by the beauty of lunar moths, and I aimed to create a piece that embodies that ethereal essence, thus "Bioluminescence" was born. At first glance, it may appear like any other scene, but its true magic reveals itself in the darkness, radiating an otherworldly glow.

“With my tweezers as a magic wand and my imagination as my guide, I create art that transcends conventional reality.”
