Trivedi's artistic journey is deeply rooted in his education and experiences. Having studied Fauvism during his master’s degree in painting from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Trivedi's graduate thesis explored how the once-ridiculed Fauvist palette would be more acceptable today. He argued that modern audiences, accustomed to visuals on backlit screens such as phones, computers, and TVs, are more receptive to the bold, vibrant colors that define Fauvism. This exploration of color continued to evolve as he taught Color Theory at numerous private colleges, solidifying color and saturation as essential elements of his surreal landscapes today.
