Yellow and Black Photography Quote (1).p

“Like many artists, my work is inspired by my faith in God.”

As a graphic designer and artist for over 25 years, Jesse has been blessed with the ability to listen and interpret what others want, resulting in that wow they’re looking for. His intuitions have also strengthened his fine art ability to listen to himself to bring to life what he envisions.

Circles Simplicity | Photoshop

34 X 34

This work began as as few simple circles created in Adobe Illustrator. Jesse then brought them into Photoshop manipulating them through the millions of tools and techniques at his fingertips to create this unique piece of art.

From their simple, often geometric beginnings, each of Jesse’s works pass through many stages. His desire for every piece is “unique beauty” that might take your breath away at first site, maybe cause you to step closer, study the nuances and transitions of color, enjoy it, and climb inside it.

Warm Earth | Photoshop

34 X 34

Demonstrating the metamorphosis his work goes through, this piece started out as a few simple squares. Over time it developed globally reminding the artist of our warming planet and the need for change.

Jesse’s use of color is bold and powerful in much of his work because he loves to evoke strong reaction and emotion to the beauty color brings and the joyful vibrations it creates in the viewer.

“The discovery of photoshop many years ago, my primary medium, changed everything for me.”

The pandemic, during which most of his works were created was a rollercoaster of feelings and moods. His calmer more serene pieces reflect his desire to appeal to those of us, himself included that at times need to take a deep breath and just get away.

Circles reaching | Photoshop

36 X 18

The colors are almost there, but like so many of us we reach out but never really connect.

Early in the development of this work Jesse knew this represented a beginning.

Motherhood | Photoshop

25 X 30

True, everything Jesse have learned and loved about creating art in the past remained, but his new tools became fresh, exciting, and powerful.

“Each of my works, are a partnership, evolving through session after session until both I and my composition agree¬s that we’re ready for the world.”

“Being timid is not part of his nature, but beauty and the joy it brings are two things we need more of in this world.”

All his works take long and different paths, with no documented steps along the way, ensuring the artworks one-of-a-kind status. This also means there’s no looking back, only moving forward, which inspires him to answer these questions each day; What haven’t I done? Where will creativity take me today?

Squares in Sunlight | Photoshop

30 X 18

As the light hits the warm areas of the planes it just feels like sunlight. This piece has a pleasant calmness with great texture and brightness.

In Photoshop the workspace is referred to as the canvas, and rightly so. In traditional paintings for instance the artist is restricted to the dimensions of the canvas, but in Photoshop the canvas is freeform and often changing the size of the space is the answer to a composition that isn’t working.

West Wind | Photoshop

30 X 36

Inspired by the color palette and landscapes of the southwest, this piece has great movement among the colors.

In photoshop, cropping inward or expanding outward randomly has often been a part of Jesse’s unique proportions and visual appeal to his work.

It is as it appears, a tornado of color not for the faint of heart, but for those unafraid to step into its nuance of hues.

Color Storm | Photoshop

34 X 34

“Photoshop led me to the path of discovery, and it will continue till my world stops turning.”

Circles Screaming | Photoshop

36 X 18

Circles clamor for attention and scream out, competing to be heard, but is anyone listening in the darkness.

His chosen medium provides the unique freedom to work intimately in specific areas as well as globally affecting the entire piece. Built in layers, relationships are created, compositions are hued, and the life of his work takes shape.

Powerful colors clash in the middle vibrating in the aftermath.

Sound Waves | Photoshop

40 X 20

The name of a piece is born as the work reveals it. What’s in a name? To you, his work may represent something completely different, abstracts often do. But if you rename it, it has meaning for you, and that is the purpose of art.

Snow Melt | Photoshop

27 X 36

Developed from a few simple squares, this work emerged as snowmelt in the mountains during Spring.

“I desire to share the beautiful imagination of my artworks with my audience.”
