For me, a trip to the beach is more than a dip in the water. For me, nature is the great source of inspiration and therefore the main purpose when I go to the beach.
Henrik is a trained media graphic artist who works with many different types of art and materials. Inspired by the North American coastal Indians, he has made totem images in wood. Henrik makes mobiles, masks, and pictures out of Plexiglas.

My work is characterized by a focus on creativity, often in an abstract and experimental exploration of the limits of traditional art forms. It involves unconventional techniques, and can be inspired by a variety of sources, including nature, dreams and the subconscious.
He was only a small child when his grandfather introduced him to art as he followed his artistic work with oil paintings. However, he only started drawing in earnest when he was 12 or 13 years old.
“My artistic focus was on the scenography and the actors' artistic expression and presentation.”
In his younger days, however, it was not painting and drawing that filled his time. Instead, he taught drama to children and young people, which led to training as a drama director. Later he switched to drama-pedagogical art and became a cultural mediator for children and young people.

Sometimes a walk in the forest can give you a special experience... There - suddenly, between the trees - you see a deer! The body is filled with a special feeling of joy over this magnificent animal; another wonder on earth.
Our lovely earth is full of all kinds of creatures that have their own charm in their own way. Whether it is during the day or at night, summer or winter, on the farm, in the city or in the mountains, there is always something to enjoy.

When computers came into the world, it opened his eyes to a new possibility of working with images. He chose to combine his creativity with the skills he had learned in his teacher training.
“The pictures thus become an expression of my feelings and dreams. My desire is therefore to give wings to the imagination, to fly out to the people and give the outside world the opportunity to form their own imaginative dreams and experiences and thereby make the art experience personal.”
“The message of my artwork is to celebrate the beauty of nature and hopefully make people realize that if you don't do something now, the beautiful nature and wildlife will disappear. My goal is to create images that emphasize the value of an open and intact nature.”
When working with his art, he finds inspiration from a variety of sources, including personal experiences, the work of other artists, current events, the environment, and the world around us.

Unbelievable how different the nature and animals are on the different continents.

Traveling out into the world is also finding new experiences... Nature can suddenly unfold in a completely different way than you are used to. Wonderful world!
Many of his graphic images are created by first taking pictures of various surfaces and patterns, which are then stored on the computer, where they are processed with various effects. He then creates a model of how he thinks the image should look, and the individual parts are then assigned to the processed photos, which are put together into imaginative landscapes.
As with humans, there are different orders of rank among animals. If you are lucky, on a good day you can experience a meeting between the rival kings in the forest.

“I believe an artist's role in society is to create works of art that reflect the culture and values of the society one lives in. This role evolves as technology advances and new forms of art are created.”

When night spreads its dark blanket over the landscape, a whole new world of life opens up.
More and more artists – like himself – are using digital tools to create art and are also able to reach a wider audience through social media and other online platforms.
There is something special about baby animals. I have yet to meet anyone who hasn't had a little smile on their face and joy in their eyes when they have seen the little wonders.

At first there wasn't much. It was empty and quiet. If you listened carefully, you could hear the wind singing and the water in the stream gurgling along. The mountains had been created over thousands of years and had just been lying there taking care of themselves. The sun rose in the morning and set in the evening. In the evening the moon rose and set in the morning. And then suddenly out of the darkness came a mother wolf with her cubs.
“As technology continues to evolve, digital artists will continue to find new ways to express themselves and their ideas.”
