Claudia Habringer
AUSTRIA
_p.png)
“All she had ever accomplished flows into her works and on the canvas or paper.”
Claudia Habringer was born in the glorious 60s in Styria/Austria. Her parents moved to Tyrol so that was where she actually grew up. Mountains and winter sports shaped her youth and laid the foundation for movement and agility which you can find in her artworks.

Brilliant and warm, the sun can really brighten up a room. As I drew, I could feel his strength and power. When I looked at it after I finished it, it seemed soft and loving.
She left Innsbruck/Tyrol to study drama arts and Journalism in Vienna. Theories bored her so she dropped out of university and started an education in Musical Theatre and became an actress. She is what she lives and lives who she is.

When JUPITER was finished I had to think about the Musical HAIR and the song Aquarius "
When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars.
...
I hope one day there will be a mind's true liberation.
I start with drawing resonance.
Acting, dancing and singing on stage ended when she discovered her love for teaching. She became a trainer for team building and creativity. Her target groups varied from managers to kindergarten kids, from therapists to actors.
“Working with people is always learning about oneself, she is sure about that.”
It never was and is about the subject itself but also anything that is connected to it. People from different cultures are carrying history and drama or even pain and war. They are connected to their loved ones at home and their countries. Sharing is her key word. Sharing stories without judging.

in resonance with SAGE | Marker
19 X 19
The healing plant SAGE goes far back in history. The druids used it and it helped to cleanse the rooms when people and animals lived to gather. To me it has a very stable and clear structure.
We do not have to be actually at the place to resonate with it. Resonance works beyond time and space. I have never been in New York let alone in the Guggenheim Museum. I was just curious how its resonance looks on a canvas.

None of her pieces are pre sketched as she trusts her capability and "the whole" to work with her. She sees her works as blueprints of the targeted subjects which also have an impact to any space they are positioned.
“Her drawings are like windows into a world full of colors. They make the invisible visible. If you blind your mind and have your senses resonate you will understand.”
“Her interest for spiritual work and energetic fields led her to what she is doing now. Drawing resonances.”
She is curious, that is her motor. She has always been attracted to lines and shapes and symbols. Fearlessly she uses the marker knowing it will not be erased or overpainted. It is what it is.

in resonance with LUDOVICO EINAUDI and his music | Mixed Media
39 X 39
I love Ludovico Einaudi´s music. It opens inner screens and movies to me.
In times of photography something new needed to be shared. Behind 2every person, plant, situation, country, century, planet or tie there is another world waiting to be discovered. Colors are a very precise language to those who are able to feel them. They are giving you a certain frequency as do lines opening up space.

in resonance with MOZART and HENDRIX | Marker
118 X 23
Mozart and Hendrix are two out of a series of twelve classical composers and their music. Lines and symbols characterize these artworks drawn on coated fabric.
Her very first artwork happened in resonance with W.A.Mozart. It was responsible for the saying, “If you want to play, play Mozart.” During the whole working process, she had the feeling of a child playing restlessly running, hopping, singing, laughing. Listen to the music and look at the lines. You will understand. The very contrast of course shows lines of Jimi Hendrix. Scratchy overlays and red. She needed a proof of what she was thinking she was doing. Proved?
Femininity holds many faces. How many face can you find on this artwork? Focus on any point and you will spot a face.

“Restless and curious she also experienced working with people from different cultures teaching German as second language.”

in resonance with an EUKALYPTUS tree | Marker
23 X 15
When I resonate with an acalyptus tree, it lifts me to the sky. If you ask "Why the black?" I don't know. But it is a good contrast show the colors in a fresh and bright way.
The themes for drawings are endless. She is never running out of odd ideas. Drawing the resonance of a tie that was worn in the 50s, or creating a piece in resonance with a Portuguese poem. She does not speak Portuguese but she can feel it.
Drawing this piece I almost could smell the spices of India. Also two people resonating together as one.

Creation to her is not limited to canvas for paper she finds faces in stones and wood using material nature has to offer. Endless again are the possibilities when one surrenders to the flow.

in resonance with LOUIS XIV King of France 17./18. century | Marker
11 X 15
I was preparing an exhibition dealing with the 18.th Century. Lous XIX needed to be a part of it. Of course it was my pleasure to draw the exalted king of the French and his time.
“Humor is her elixir of life, if I can’t laugh about myself how can I laugh at all?”
