Superfine Los Angeles is taking place from October 12-15, 2023 in the heart of the city, Magic Box LA in DTLA.

Theme
​​​
The theme for submissions for Superfine Los Angeles is OPEN, as we want to welcome a wide variety of art for this show. Any and all subjects are welcome under this category, and all of our current themes also qualifies under this. To maximize your chance of being selected by the jury for this art exhibition, please feel free to make any duplicate submissions from those themes as well. Artists are also given complete liberty to choose any technique of their choice, Both representational and abstract concepts, in any media, will be considered. Please note that you must be 18 years of age in order to participate in any of our events.

All types of visual arts will be considered, including but not limited to Painting & Mixed Media, Photography & Digital, and Sculpture & 3D Installation.

Awards & Prizes
​
The Superfine Los Angeles Art Fair in October 2023 is 100% free for invited participating artists, and there are no costs associated with displaying artworks at the exhibition.
​
Please note that only winning artists from our juried open call will be invited to show and sell their artworks at the Superfine LA.
​
The Superfine LA is an uncommon exhibition at an iconic location in Los Angeles, the second largest city in the United States, boasting a thriving and prolific art market in the nation second only to New York. Participating artists will enjoy sales and exposure from a highly visited art event. Other than the exhibition, the artists will be promoted extensively in local news outlets, media channels, and press events.

All winning artists will be provided with Certificates of Recognition.

Winner Notification Starts - October 1st
Artworks MUST be received by TERAVARNA - October 10th
Exhibition of Winning Artworks Starts - October 12th
Exhibition of Winning Artworks Ends - October 15th

At the conclusion of the show, participating artists will have the choice to ship their unsold artworks to them, or place them in gallery storage for ongoing exhibitions at other venues.
​
Fees
​
The entry fee for each artwork is $15 (non-refundable).
If you'd like to enter more than 10 artworks for consideration, please go back to fill in your details and submit again. Although not required, it is strongly recommended that multiple artworks are submitted in order to provide a clear and cohesive understanding of the artist's portfolio in a physical art gallery setting. The jury will look at the entire body of work in a holistic manner.

For our artists that are living abroad, for a show at such short notice we highly recommend opting into our giclée canvas option. You only have to provide us with a high resolution image of your artwork and we'll print it on a fine art canvas to show, display, and sell at the art fair. If the buyers are interested about the original work, we'll have them directly get in touch with you so you'd be able to negotiate with pricing and shipping. This is frankly a great prospect for both emerging and established artists who would like to prominently feature their work in the international arena.
Artwork painted on materials other than stretched canvas will need to be framed, because they cannot be exhibited without a frame. If you're selling prints, you're welcome to mount them yourself, or we could mount them for you at a nominal cost.

Shipping and insurance of all original artworks are the artist's responsibility. Detailed instructions will be provided to winners shortly after winner selection. All packing and labelling instructions will also be provided to artists. Please note that since we have limited wall space remaining, we will have restrictions regarding dimensions of artworks that can be on display at this exhibition.

How to Apply

1. Choose the number of artworks you'd like to submit​ from one of the options below.

2. Click on the number of artworks and proceed to make a payment. You can pay by PayPal or credit card.
​
3. After successful payment, you'll be redirected back to where you can upload your images and other details.
